If you need to return your vehicle, DealShield makes it easy to receive a 100% refund of the purchase price and buy fee for eligible vehicles. Let’s take a look at the four simple steps to follow for a speedy return and refund:

1. Request a Vehicle Return Authorization (VRA)

  • Make sure the vehicle is paid in full to minimize processing delays.
  • Log in to the DealShield Dashboard and choose either All Transactions or Guaranteed Vehicles.
  • Find the vehicle you’d like to return and click Return.
  • Complete the Vehicle Return Authorization form.

2. Drop Off Your Vehicle by the Specified VRA Date

  • Contact the commercial department at your auction location and let them know you have a DealShield return.
  • Print your VRA and place it on the vehicle dashboard before returning the vehicle to the designated auction location.
  • Deliver the vehicle to the location entry gate. The VIN will be scanned to validate the DealShield return.
  • Check your return on DealShield.com to make sure your vehicle is stocked under Meridian.

Things to remember: Please deliver the vehicle by the specified date. Late delivery could void the return. Vehicles must be returned in like condition to be eligible for a refund. Contact DealShield if you need to request a different auction location.

3. Deliver a Negotiable Title

  • Provide your negotiable title and VRA to the chosen auction location.
  • Provide the title and VRA in person or by mail by the date listed in the VRA.

Things to remember: Please provide the title and VRA by the required date. We can’t issue a refund until we receive a negotiable title.

4. Receive Your Refund

  • Monitor your inbox for return updates. You should receive a notification within two business days.
  • After receiving the notification, you’ll receive your vehicle refund within five to seven business days.
